Our client, a leading food distribution and supply chain company, is seeking a Buyer to join their team. As a Buyer, you will be part of the Purchasing Department supporting the Sales, Finance, Logistics, and Supplier Relations teams. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical and data interpretation skills, cross-functional communication skills, and ownership with proactive problem-solving abilities, which will align successfully in the organization.

Pay Range: $28.85/hour

• Review purchasing guides daily and place accurate purchase orders with suppliers based on inventory demands.
• Analyze daily inventory reports, including out-of-stock and over-allocated reports, to maintain optimal stock levels.
• Confirm purchase orders for accurate pricing, quantities, freight costs, and delivery dates.
• Manage inventory levels, product dating, returns, and coordinate on-time deliveries with logistics teams.
• Maintain vendor and item master data, including pricing, freight terms, ship points, and supplier information.

• 3 to 5 years of buying or procurement experience.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make informed purchasing decisions.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate across multiple departments and suppliers.
• Experience with inventory management, purchase order processing, and vendor management.
• Ability to take ownership of responsibilities and proactively solve problems in a fast-paced environment.

• Competitive pay rate of $28.85 per hour.
• Consistent Monday through Friday schedule from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM with no overtime required.
