Porter/Groundskeeper - Entry Maintenance Job Jacksonville area,Florida USA,Maintenance/Cleaning

We have a great opportunity for a motivated individual to join our team and growing company. The ideal candidate should have strong verbal and written communication skills. Additionally, the candidate should be detailed-oriented, organized and able to multi-task.

Scope and Purpose

Responsible for keeping the grounds of the property in an attractive condition. Assist in other types of maintenance, when necessary.

Duties and Responsibilities (may include, but are not limited to)

Ensures property grounds are clean and free of debris and that all, external fixtures are clean and in working order.

Inspect the property; pick up trash and debris, and reports any safety hazards or repair needs to Maintenance Supervisor.

Sweep parking lot areas, walkways, entryways, and hallways. Wash down courtyards and other cement areas. May have to sweep and pick-up sand and gravel with shovel and wheelbarrow.

Operate leaf blower or parking lot vacuum to ensure that the property is free of debris.

Ensure external light fixtures are in working order. Cleans lights and globes in common areas.

Move/clean trash dumpsters and surrounding areas.

Empty trashcans around the common grounds of the property.

Assist with the removal of furniture, appliances, and debris from vacated apartments to dumpster or storage.

Assist in moving appliances, heat pumps, planters, garbage cans, and supplies as needed.

Wipe down mailboxes, handrails, and signs.

Unload truck when supplies are delivered, and stock in proper areas.

Clean pool area to include chairs, tables, and umbrellas.

Clean/sweep tennis courts if applicable.

Lock/unlock common areas as directed.

Clean/sweep rooftops and clean out gutters.

Coordinate with Maintenance Supervisor to maintain an inventory of supplies required to perform the job.

Qualifications

Good safety habits

Thorough, reliable, responsible, honest, flexible and courteous

High school diploma or equivalent

Must understand lawn equipment, repair, and maintenance

Language

Must be able to read, write, and speak fluent English
