Senior Custodial Worker – University of North Florida
The University of North Florida is hiring a Senior Custodial Worker to perform housekeeping duties in accordance with APPA cleaning standards. The incumbent cleans restrooms, classrooms, offices, common‑use areas, and carpet and tile floors, and provides support during campus events and emergencies.
Responsibilities- Lead and maintain cleanliness of classrooms, offices, kitchens, conference rooms, common areas, stairways, and building entrance areas.
- Clean windows, doors, and display cases.
- Perform additional floor cleaning and maintenance duties.
- Respond to campus emergencies as a Tier 2 respondent; return to campus when directed.
- Assist with special set‑up requests, graduations, and event manpower; clean up after events; complete work orders; receive and deliver supplies; pick up materials from vendors; keep break and storage areas neat and clean.
- Completion of ninth (9th) grade required; 1+ years of relevant experience or equivalent education and experience per Fla. Stat. 112.219.
- Background check required; credit check may be required.
- Hold classified driver’s license appropriate to vehicle type if required by the position.
- Designated as a Responsible Employee under Title IX; must promptly report sexual misconduct or violence.

Scheduleand Employment
Sunday – Friday 10:00 p.m. – 6:30 a.m. (full‑time). The position is full‑time and requires nighttime shift work.
