Multiple Positions Available! We are looking for specialties such as Commercial HVAC and Commercial Electrical experience as well as general maintenance in a Healthcare setting.

Introduction

Day and night shifts available. Full time and PRN positions available.

Job Summary and Qualifications

The Hospital Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for general maintenance repairs within the facility, satellites, and grounds.

What you will do in this role:

  • You will repair and maintain equipment in area of responsibility to include preventive maintenance, performance inspections and adjustments.

  • You will maintain and repair ceiling tiles, lamp replacements, basic water blockage removal, HVAC filter changes, some electrical, sewer line, general painting and wall repair.

  • You will perform Preventive Maintenance on AHU and exhaust fans, basic electrical testing of emergency systems, sewer equipment, and do monthly generator loaded runs.

  • You will read and understand blue prints.

  • You will be familiar with general plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and carpentry tasks.

  • You will weld, braze, and cut metals and pipes.

  • You will ensure work performed by outside contractors is done in a timely manner and conforms to local codes.

  • You will have perform on call emergency assignments as needed.

  • You will maintain complete and accurate records of all maintenance and repairs.

What qualifications you will need:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.

  • Trade school or equivalent preferred.

  • Current Florida driver's license required with a clean driving record.

  • 3-5 years of experience in a healthcare facility preferred.
