Each year, we sponsor around 20 employees through the Santa Fe College HVAC Apprentice Program so they can earn a 4 year HVAC or Plumbing Apprenticeship Certificate. These Team members work full time for our company and make a commitment to the 4 year program by attending classes 2 days a week for 4 years.

Comfort Temp also houses many in-house training opportunities to support our team’s growth in the trade taught by senior staff or certified instructors with plans to launch our own Comfort Academy Training Program by the end of 2024! Our relationships with our wonderful vendors also enable Comfort Temp to house training programs brought in by various vendors to keep our team on the cutting edge of new technology or advancements in systems.

CT Mechanical was instrumental in launching a new Career Technical Education (CTE) Program in HVAC for the Alachua County School Board launching at Santa Fe High School in Alachua August 2024.

Founded in 2014, CT Mechanical is the commercial mechanical contracting division of Comfort Temp Company. We design, install and service mechanical, plumbing and process piping systems for clients across Florida, with offices in Gainesville, Jacksonville, Orlando and Tampa. The Opportunity

We’re hiring a Project Engineer to be the technical and administrative backbone behind our Project Managers. You’ll own the paperwork, procurement and coordination that keep a mechanical job moving, from the day it’s handed off by estimating to the day the owner signs off  you’re early in your career and want real responsibility on commercial projects, with a defined path into project management, this role is built for you.

What You’ll Do

Getting projects started

• Gather estimate files and scope details from our Estimators, review assumptions, and run turnover meetings for Jacksonville and Gainesville mechanical projects
• Study the plans and specs to confirm scope, spot conflicts or coordination problems, and raise them with the PM before they become field issues

Submittals, RFIs and documents

• Create the submittal log directly from the contract documents, chase submittals from suppliers and subs, check them against project requirements, send them for approval, and get approved copies to everyone who needs them
