We’re seeking an experienced Project Manager to join our Jacksonville team. What You’ll DoLead all phases of project delivery, including planning, execution, tracking, and closeout
Maintain full ownership of project schedules, budgets, forecasting, and overall performance
Prepare, monitor, and manage project documentation including submittals, RFIs, change management, and billing
Coach, motivate, and develop superintendents, engineers, and field teams
Foster a culture of accountability, communication, and teamwork
Coordinate closely with field leadership to ensure seamless operations and production flow
Financial & Risk ManagementManage project financials with full profit-and-loss responsibility
Forecast profitability and ensure projects meet or exceed budget expectations
Identify risks early, implement corrective actions, and proactively solve problems
Client & Partner EngagementRepresent Petticoat-Schmitt with integrity and professionalism
Build strong relationships with clients, vendors, inspectors, and subcontractors
Protect company interests through clear communication and proactive issue resolution
What We’re Looking For Experience & Qualifications4+ years of project management experience in civil construction (site development, underground utilities, or public works)
Proven success managing self-perform civil projects, including labor, materials, equipment, and financial performance
Strong financial acumen with experience forecasting and managing project profitability
Proficiency with project management software such as Primavera P6, Bluebeam, HCSS, Procore/Prolog, or similar
Skills & AttributesStrong leadership, communication, and critical-thinking skills
Ability to coach, mentor, and develop team members
Sense of urgency in problem-solving and decision-making
High level of organization, accountability, and attention to detail
Confident, professional, and proactive communicator
