Position OverviewWe are seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic Lifestyle Director to join our team onsite at our beautiful residential community located in Jacksonville, FL. As the Lifestyle Director, you will be responsible for planning, organizing, and coordinating recreational activities and events for residents.
Responsibilities- Oversee clubhouse operations, staff, vendors, and events to ensure that specific goals are met and resident interests and corporate values and protocols are upheld.
- Manage, develop, and lead recreational staff by recruiting, interviewing, hiring, training, and overseeing the performance of all staff for the amenities (clubhouse attendants, front desk, sports center, as well as third party service providers to the extent of their respective contractual agreements).
- Oversee instructors and academies, coordinating class schedules for the year.
- Create, update and distribute Activities Calendar at the direction of committees or the Community Association Manager.
- Conduct rounds of the clubhouse, sports complex, and pool deck to monitor usage, cleanliness and any other items that should be addressed by maintenance or operation teams.
- Maintain accurate records relating to all incomes related to guest payments, event room rentals, academy payments, including requests for event expenditures.
- Prepare articles for various association publications, including e-blasts.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree in Recreation Management, Hospitality, Leisure Studies, or related field preferred.
- Extensive experience in Management and/or Supervisor required; 5-7 years of experience.
- Previous experience in recreation management, event planning, or community programming highly desirable.
- Strong organizational and communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with residents, staff, and external partners.
- Creativity and innovation in designing engaging recreational activities and events that appeal to diverse demographics.
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team or staff and volunteers.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and protocols related to recreational facilities and activities.
- Flexible schedule with the ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
