Overview

The Vice President of Facilities (VP of Facilities) provides strategic, enterprise-wide leadership for all YMCA facilities, ensuring that buildings, grounds, and infrastructure support the organization’s mission, long-term sustainability, and member experience. This role oversees capital planning, facilities operations, risk management, and compliance across all branches and properties.

The VP of Facilities partners closely with the COO, Facility Committee, and cross-functional leaders to steward physical assets responsibly while advancing safety, accessibility, environmental sustainability, and operational excellence.

Responsibilities

Provide strategic, enterprise-wide leadership for all YMCA facilities, ensuring buildings, grounds, and infrastructure support the organization’s mission, long-term sustainability, and member experience. Oversee capital planning, facilities operations, risk management, and compliance across all branches and properties.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in facilities management, engineering, business, public administration, or a related field.

6+ years of progressively responsible leadership experience in facilities, operations, or capital project management.

Demonstrated experience leading large-scale capital projects and managing enterprise-level budgets.

Strong executive leadership, communication, and strategic planning skills.

Ability to work collaboratively with senior leadership and Boards.
