Director Land Acquisition; Panama

Location

Panamá City

• Lead strategic planning and execution of land acquisition initiatives across multiple geographies, aligning with corporate growth targets.
• Oversee full lifecycle of land deals: sourcing, financial analysis, due diligence, entitlement, contract negotiations, easement acquisition; manage risk and maximize ROI.
• Develop and maintain high‑level relationships with landowners, developers, brokers, municipalities, and strategic partners.
• Direct cross‑functional collaboration with Legal, Development, Finance, and Operations teams for seamless execution from acquisition to project launch.
• Manage and mentor a team of acquisition professionals, fostering a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement.
• Monitor and interpret market trends, zoning changes, and regulatory shifts to identify new growth corridors and mitigate acquisition risks.
• Establish and oversee acquisition budgets, forecasts, and performance metrics to ensure financial discipline and transparency.
• Review and approve complex purchase agreements, joint venture structures, and entitlement strategies in line with business and legal objectives.
• Represent the company in high‑level negotiations and public forums, building trust with community stakeholders and government entities.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Establish tactical and operational plans with short‑to‑mid‑term impact (1–2years).
• Develop new products, processes, and standards to support the area.
• Hold potential budget accountability for the area.

• Manage a large team of managers, supervisors, and experienced professionals; exercise hiring, promotion, and reward authority.

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience; minimum 6–8years of relevant experience.
• Broad management and leadership knowledge with advanced expertise within a specific discipline and understanding of other areas in the department.

• Excellent negotiation and contract skills.
• Knowledge of market trends, pricing, growth, and supply.
• Knowledge of the political environment and the ability to form political connections.
• Strategic implementation of company goals through land acquisition.
• Understanding of finance and law.
