Position: Sr. Industrial / Capital Equipment Project Manager

Lead projects that are transforming the future of environmental sustainability.

BCR Environmental is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to take ownership of complex, multimillion-dollar engineered systems that help municipalities and industrial customers convert waste streams into valuable resources. This is an opportunity to lead high-impact projects from contract award through commissioning, influence project execution strategies, and play a key role in the growth of an innovative environmental technology company.

Position Summary

The Senior Project Manager is responsible for the successful execution of BCR’s largest and most complex engineered capital equipment projects from contract award through final commissioning and closeout. Serving as the primary point of contact for customers, this role provides strategic leadership over project planning, execution, commercial performance, and customer satisfaction.

The Senior Project Manager independently manages multiple concurrent projects with significant technical and financial complexity. This individual collaborates cross‑functionally with Applications Engineering, Sales, Design Engineering, Procurement, Finance, Manufacturing, Field Service, and external vendors and subcontractors to ensure projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and in alignment with contractual requirements.

This position also serves as a subject matter expert in project execution practices, providing mentorship to junior project managers and helping establish best practices, processes, and tools that improve overall project performance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the execution of large, complex capital equipment projects from project kickoff through final customer acceptance and warranty transition.
  • Serve as the primary customer interface and develop strong relationships with customer stakeholders, contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers.
  • Develop and maintain detailed project execution plans, schedules, resource plans, and project milestones using Microsoft Project or client‑preferred project management platforms.
  • Establish project governance, communication plans, and reporting structures to ensure alignment between internal teams and external stakeholders.
  • Lead regular project meetings, provide executive‑level project status updates, identify risks and mitigation strategies, and drive accountability for project deliverables.
  • Maintain ownership of project scope, schedule, budget, and profitability while proactively identifying and managing commercial risks and opportunities.
  • Manage project change orders, contractual obligations, and scope modifications to protect project margins and maintain customer satisfaction.
  • Partner closely with Finance to manage project forecasting, revenue recognition support, cash flow projections, invoicing milestones, and profitability reporting.
  • Coordinate activities across Engineering, Procurement, Manufacturing, Field Service, and third‑party suppliers to ensure successful project execution.
  • Provide oversight of equipment submittals, drawing packages, O&M manuals, regulatory documentation, and final project deliverables.
  • Conduct periodic site visits to monitor installation progress, evaluate contractor performance, identify field issues, and resolve project challenges.
  • Support startup and commissioning activities, including availability for extended work hours or on‑call support during critical project phases.
  • Identify opportunities to improve project management standards, processes, templates, and performance metrics across the organization.
  • Mentor and provide guidance to Project Managers and other project team members on effective project execution practices.
  • Support project pursuit activities by contributing execution strategies, schedules, risk assessments, and commercial insights during the proposal phase.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business, or a related technical discipline required; advanced degree preferred.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification strongly preferred.
  • 10+ years of project management experience managing complex engineered capital…
