Essential Functions

  • Assist Regional Operations Manager:
    Provide the necessary administrative/support and business office assistance to Regional Operations Manager for the management functions at the facility. Using established reports, provide cost/financial analysis support to the operations management team to assist in maximizing efficiencies and minimizing costs.
  • General Supervision of Plant Office Administrators:
    Coordinate the preparation of annual performance evaluations and the proposed salary budget for the plant office administrators (POAs) with input from the Operations Manager and the District Sales Manager; responsible for quality of reports generated at Grand Rivers; provide coverage and assistance during direct reports’ absences; and other tasks assigned by the Operations Manager or by the Supervisor-Plant Admin Support.
  • Overseeing equipment maintenance, coordinating repairs, and minimizing downtime to ensure smooth operations.
  • Managing inventory levels, ordering supplies, and ensuring adequate resources are available for plant operations.
  • Train New Clerks and Provide Continuing training to all POAs:
    The initial training of new POAs will be the responsibility of the plant office supervisor. The training will be conducted over the first two weeks of the clerk’s employment, including Point-of-Sales application, Equipment Management System, Plant Management Enterprise, KRONOS, procurement, and other plant applications and reports. As the need arises, ongoing training activities also will be the responsibility of the plant office supervisor.
  • Assist with Accepting Applications for New Hires:
    The plant office supervisor will accept applications for openings in the facility clerical positions and select the applicants who will be interviewed by the Operations Manager, Supervisor-Plant Admin Support, and the Sales Manager.
  • Coverage for Vacations/Other Absences:
    The plant office supervisor will coordinate coverage needed for vacations, sick days, and other absences for the POAs. As necessary, the supervisor will provide coverage.
  • Additional Responsibilities:
    The plant office supervisor will undertake other tasks as assigned by the Operations Manager and the Supervisor-Plant Admin Support.

Education

  • Minimum:
    High School Degree (or GED) with relevant industry experience and work background.
  • Preferred:
    Bachelors Degree in Accounting or Business discipline.
