An Assembler is responsible for production-assembly. The work is highly repetitive and requires the ability to follow a prescribed routine or an obvious method of assembly. The candidate must be able to follow demonstrated steps and work in a team environment.

• Mechanical aptitude with basic reading, writing and mathematics skills
• Work in a team environment, follow directions, read work instructions, and prepare container tickets, including addition and subtraction of part counts
• Use hand tools, scales, and other process equipment such as fixtures, assembly presses and drill presses; multitask effectively
• Some hand tools require ambidexterity
• Stand or sit for extended periods as required
• Moderate lifting up to 50 lbs; lifting assistance provided when necessary
• Fine hand manipulation, pinching, pulling and grasping of parts
• Full range of motion in hands, arms, legs, neck and back to perform job duties
• Exposure to chemicals may be required
• Other duties as assigned

• Must be able to communicate in English; excellent written and verbal communication required
• High school diploma or GED equivalent
• Basic reading and math skills
• Normal to high manual dexterity
• Ability to use all required hand tools, machinery and gauges
• Qualified and competent after a reasonable training period based on job complexity

Performance of this position typically occurs in a manufacturing environment requiring PPE such as safety glasses, safety shoes/boots and hearing protection. Temperature may be non-temperature controlled and affected by outside temperatures and machining. Hazards may include ergonomic issues, burns, cuts, heavy lifting, fumes, slippery floors, machine hazards, chemicals, gasses and body injuries; protective measures include machine guards, ergonomic programs, hazard documentation, proper hand tools, training and PPE.

Routine walking, standing and bending are required.

Pay Grade 4: $18.00 – $21.57 per hour. The actual base pay offered will vary based on knowledge, experience, business needs, and location.
