Painter Helper Job Description

Join our team in the manufacturing of Industrial Power Systems within a heavy-industrial facility. As a Painter Helper, you will be responsible for hanging metal parts and pieces on the paint line, working with sheet metal, and loading and unloading materials. This role requires lifting metal pieces up to 75 pounds. You will also engage in touch-ups and powder coating in the paint booth.

• $16-18/hr depending on experience
• 1st shift: 6am-2:30 pm
• 2nd shift: 2:00pm-10:00pm

• Hang metal parts and pieces on the paint line.
• Work with sheet metal, loading and unloading materials.
• Lift heavy metal pieces up to 75 pounds.
• Perform touch-ups and powder coating in the paint booth.

• Experience in production work and heavy lifting.
• Familiarity with warehouse and manufacturing environments.
• Ability to load and unload materials.
• Proficiency in reading blueprints and mechanical assembly.
• General labor skills.

• Experience in manufacturing, warehouse, or construction labor.
• Exposure to sheet metal or powder coating.
• Ability to stand for the entire shift.
• Capability to lift 50+ pounds and move sheet metal.

This is a contract-to-hire opportunity offering pay raises, profit sharing, benefits, PTO, paid holidays, and a 401k once converted to a permanent position. Profit sharing bonuses are paid quarterly. Benefits are immediately available upon permanent conversion. The company is expanding to a new facility, providing opportunities for advancement and cross‑training in various skills such as wiring, mechanical, welding, CNC machinery, electrical testing, and more.

The work is conducted in a large, open bay production facility with multiple work stations. The production floor is not climate‑controlled, but industrial‑sized fans keep the air moving. Safety gear, including steel‑toed shoes, safety glasses, and ear plugs, is required due to the presence of CNC machinery and fabrication equipment. Expect a louder environment with forklift and manufacturing machinery operations.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Jacksonville, FL.

The pay range for this position is $16.00 - $16.50/hr.

This is a fully onsite position in Jacksonville, FL.
