CNC Machinist — Multi-Axis Milling & Lathe Expert

Accurate Personnel is hiring immediately for a CNC Machinist to join our team in Jacksonville, Florida. This individual will be responsible for operating CNC lathes and milling machines, programming complex parts for CNC multi-axis lathes & mills, and developing machine set-ups and program edits. The ideal candidate will possess extensive knowledge of machining and strong machining skills, 5 years’ experience turning and set-up on CNC Lathes/Mills, and medium to high level of experience with tools and inserts.

Pay, Schedule, and Location

• Starting at $28-$32/hour
• Excellent benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision
• Monday – Friday 7:30am – 4:00pm
• Located in Jacksonville, Florida

Duties and Responsibilities

• Operate CNC lathes and milling machines – including programming, setup, and running operations. (Mazak/Mazatrol, DMG/Mori/Celos Shopmill, Doosan Puma/ EZ Guide i )
• Program complex parts for CNC multi-axis lathes & mills (Use of G-code and/or conversational programming on lathes & mills)
• Develop machine set-ups and program edits, ensuring programs are properly organized and preserved
• Understand geometric dimensioning & tolerancing (GD&T)
• Read and interpret 2-D shop prints
• Select proper tooling for production and manufacturing
• Work with tolerances to +/- .001”
• Maintain highest levels of quality – as specified by customer requirements
• Inspect parts using a variety of equipment: micrometers, calipers, optical comparators, other as needed
• Demonstrate forward thinking to anticipate and avoid problems, and effectively trouble-shoot and resolve any problems that do arise
• Work with minimal supervision, but also engage productively within a team environment
• Update job paperwork, keeping it accurate and organized
• Use electronic Job Tracking application to ensure job status information remains accurate and up-to-date
• Perform prescribed preventive maintenance on machines as required per M/M schedules
• Other duties may be assigned as necessary and appropriate

Requirements and Qualifications

• Extensive knowledge of machining and strong machining skills
• Five (5) years’ experience turning and set-up on CNC Lathes/Mills
• Medium to high level of experience with tools and inserts
• Production Experience with high performance alloys (e.g., copper/nickel, Inconel, stainless)
• Experience troubleshooting machining issues with various types of manual and CNC lathes & mills.
• Experience in inspection of machined parts
• Trigonometry & Blueprint literacy

• Experience troubleshooting machining issues with various types of manual and CNC lathes & mills
• High School (or equivalent) with Technical School
• CNC Programming education/certification
