Shift

Hours:

Night Shift – Monday to Friday, 1:30pm to 10:00pm.

You will be an employee of NXTPoint but work on site at the Johnson & Johnson facility.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Operate all material handling equipment safely and efficiently, following prescribed work methods, OSHA standards, and daily inspection and maintenance procedures.
  • Load, unload, move, stack, and stage products and materials using forklifts, reach trucks, or motorized pallet riders.
  • Unload inbound shipments, move product to storage locations, and efficiently stack and store merchandise.
  • Pull and prepare products for shipment, ensuring that the exact number and type of product is loaded and shipped.
  • Move product from staging or storage areas into rail cars, trailers, or containers.
  • Ensure inbound and outbound shipments are accurate and free of damage.
  • Pick and pack (order picking and/or assembly of products in less than full case lots), perform light assembly of mechanical or electrical components, and record storage.
  • Perform labeling, sorting, wrapping, packing, and repacking as needed.
  • Maintain appropriate records and reports to guarantee tight inventory control and security.
  • Assist in physical inventories and ensure proper stock rotation.
  • Investigate and resolve customers’ special requests, problems, or discrepancies.
  • Coordinate with other departments or functions as necessary.
  • Maintain a clean, neat, and orderly work area.
  • Supervise the training, development, appraisal, and work assignments of material handlers and/or temporary personnel (if applicable).
  • Provide leadership and demonstrate professional judgment while following department policy guidelines.
  • Comply with all safety policies, report unsafe activities, and participate in proactive team efforts to achieve departmental and company goals.
  • Perform other duties as assigned or required by account-specific needs.
Qualifications
  • High school or GED degree, or a minimum of two years of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, technical procedures, and regulations.
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedural manuals.
  • Ability to present information and respond to questions from managers, clients, and the general public.
  • Strong mathematical skills: application of fractions, percentages, ratios, proportions; addition, subtraction, multiplication, division of whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals; calculation of rates, ratios, and percent, and interpretation of bar graphs.
  • Reasoning ability: apply common sense to carry out instructions; define problems; collect data; establish facts; draw valid conclusions; solve practical problems in varying contexts.
  • Proficiency in computer operations, including learning and using software applications such as move management, timekeeping, HRIS, and other job-related systems.
  • Ability to prioritize and re-prioritize tasks, multi-task, and organize workflow to meet deadlines.
Certifications / Licenses
  • Certified license for powered material handling equipment.
Working Conditions and Physical Demands
  • Work environment: indoor and outdoor shop environment with adequate ventilation, exposure to vibration, and use of equipment in badly illuminated or awkward spaces.
  • Physical activity: stand > 2/3 of time, walk > 2/3 of time, sit < 1/3 of time; use hands to manipulate objects > 2/3 of time; reach, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl > 2/3 of time; lift/move up to 50 pounds unassisted; climb ladders; majority of tasks require repetitive hand movements.
  • Special vision: close, distance, color, peripheral, and depth perception requirements to safely operate equipment and perform tasks.
