Position: Welder / Fabricator
Position Summary:

Snelling Staffing is seeking an experienced Welder/Fabricator for a precision metal fabrication facility in Jacksonville. This is a shop-only position (no field work) focused on producing high-quality fabricated metal products. This opportunity offers potential for permanent placement based on performance and attendance.

Responsibilities:

• Perform GTAW (TIG) and GMAW (MIG) welding on steel, stainless steel, and aluminum materials

• Read and interpret blueprints and shop drawings

• Set up and operate welding and fabrication equipment

• Perform layout, fit-up, and fabrication of parts and assemblies

• Verify dimensions and tolerances using precision measuring tools

• Maintain quality standards and inspect finished products

• Keep work areas clean, organized, and safe

• Follow all company safety procedures and PPE requirements

Requirements:

• Minimum 5 years of welding/fabrication experience required

• Experience with TIG (GTAW) and MIG (GMAW) welding required

• Experience welding sheet metal and plate materials

• Ability to read and interpret detailed blueprints

• Strong math and measuring skills

• Experience using precision measuring tools, including dial calipers

• Valid Florida driver's license required

• Strong attention to detail and quality workmanship

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand for extended periods

• Frequent lifting up to 50 lbs

• Comfortable working in a manufacturing shop environment

• Exposure to welding, grinding, and fabrication equipment
