Band Saw Operator

Snelling Staffing is seeking a reliable Band Saw Operator to join a manufacturing team. This role is responsible for operating band saw equipment to cut metal materials used in HVAC ductwork and related products while ensuring quality, accuracy, and safety standards are met.

Responsibilities:

• Safely operate horizontal and vertical band saw equipment

• Measure and mark materials using tape measures and measuring tools

• Cut metal materials according to specifications and dimensions

• Inspect finished materials for quality and accuracy

• Load and unload materials for production

• Maintain production schedules and workflow

• Keep work areas clean and organized

• Perform basic machine upkeep and report equipment issues

• Follow all company safety procedures and PPE requirements

• Assist with other production tasks as needed

Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED preferred

• Manufacturing or metal fabrication experience preferred

• Band saw experience preferred (training available for qualified candidates)

• Tape measure experience required

• Basic math and measuring skills

• Ability to read instructions and blueprints

• Strong attention to detail and safety awareness

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand for extended periods

• Frequent lifting, bending, pushing, and pulling

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly

• Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment with noise, dust, and varying temperatures
