Shop Helper

Snelling Staffing is currently hiring a Shop Helper for a busy precision metals and fabrication facility in Jacksonville, FL. This is an entry-level position with the opportunity to grow within a manufacturing environment. We are looking for reliable, hardworking individuals who are comfortable working in a hands-on shop setting.

Job ResponsibilitiesAssist with deburring and cleaning fabricated metal parts
Help with loading and unloading materials
Support machine operators and fabricators as needed
Maintain a clean and organized shop area
Dispose of scrap materials properly
Follow all safety rules and company procedures
Perform general shop and production support duties
Requirements
Ability to read and use a tape measure
Basic math skills (fractions and measurements)
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly
Comfortable working in a manufacturing / shop environment
Ability to stand for long periods of time
Must be dependable and willing to learn
Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team
Work EnvironmentIndustrial / manufacturing shop
Loud equipment at times
Physical, hands-on work
Fast-paced production setting
