Pay and Incentives

Pay Range: $68,900.00 - $94,700.00 Annual (base salary).
Incentive bonus: eligible for incentive bonus.

Position Overview

The purpose of the Production Supervisor's role is to supervise the day‑to‑day activities of an hourly production team for a single product line to ensure manufacturing operations run according to established production specifications and schedules; volume, cost and wastage targets; and quality standards. The supervisor will coordinate training, enforce safety guidelines and interface with other departments in support of production. This is a night shift position – 6:00pm – 6:00am.

The chosen candidate will work on day shift training for up to 60days before moving to night shift.

Day to Day Responsibilities
  • Supervise, train, and provide direction to production team.
  • Plan and schedule the utilization of equipment and maintain maximum productivity levels.
  • Investigate root causes/issues that are related to scrap, process excursions, quality complaints and/or fire investigations.
  • Ensure production team understands/complies with established operating systems in safety, environmental, quality and process controls and the company's overall policies.
  • Utilize key operating indicators for control of product cost, material usage, machine downtime, expenditure control and other shift functions.
  • Accurately submit hours worked to payroll for all production employees in a timely manner.
  • Transmit production performance statistics/concerns to Production Shift Leaders, Maintenance, and Superintendent and make recommendations for improvement.
  • Prepare labor, material and equipment usage reports.
  • May be required to perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • High School diploma with a minimum of 3 years of operational leadership experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of production processes.
  • Strong aptitude for learning and understanding company policies.
  • Solid understanding of OSHA regulations.
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook.
  • Working knowledge of SAP or ERP systems.
  • Strong leadership skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Manages a staff of 7‑8 hourly employees, sets direction and deploys resources, responsible for performance evaluations, pay reviews, hiring and terminating.
Physical Requirements

Work environment typical of a manufacturing facility; may be exposed to environmental conditions of cold, heat, high noise levels, moving mechanical parts, heights, dust/mist/gas/fumes, extensive walking or climbing. Minimal travel required (0–10 days per year). May be required to lift, carry, push or pull up to and including 50 pounds. Incumbent must be physically able to perform essential job functions.
