Production Manager, Operations Manager
Eaton’s Critical Power Solution Division is currently seeking a 2nd shift Production Supervisor to join our team. This position is based in Raleigh, NC.
2nd shift hours are 2:30pm-11pm
The expected annual salary range for this role is $86,000 - $126,000 a year.

Plan, coordinate, supervise and motivate the activities of all assigned employees on 2nd shift to meet or exceed safety, quality, delivery, cost and efficiency goals while assisting the Operations Manager in implementing plant wide initiatives.
What you’ll do- Provide direct supervision for all 2nd shift production employees.
- Participate in employment and staffing decisions, performance management decisions.
- Ability to communicate effectively with other departments and shifts.
- Maintain departmental personnel records and reports on productivity, quality, and attendance.
- Develop and implement schedules and manpower requirements to meet or exceed production plan.
- Plans and prioritizes departmental as well as plant wide production schedules based on customer delivery dates, efficiencies, and material supplies.
- Monitor departmental as well as plant wide productivity to ensure that established quality and production levels are maintained or exceeded.
- Engage direct reports in manufacturing LEAN initiatives including but not limited to operator standard work, 5S, pull systems, empowered work teams, and structured problem solving.
- Provide coaching, motivation, and counseling to employees to encourage optimum performance and continued skill development.
- Develop employees within areas of responsibility to work as a team to accomplish goals as set forth by the company or location.
- Implement and support behavioral based zero incident safety culture.
- Fosters an environment that promotes Eaton’s goals, philosophies, and encourages continuous improvement.
- Communicate company policies, procedures, and guidelines and ensure they are consistently practiced.
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution or five (5) years of experience in a manufacturing or operations environment in lieu of degree.
- Minimum of three (3) years’ experience in Manufacturing Operations or Engineering in a manufacturing environment.
- Minimum one (1) years of direct supervisory experience.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now or in the future
- No relocation is offered for the position. Candidates must reside within 50 miles of Raleigh.
- Lean Manufacturing experience/certification
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- SAP experience
- Ability to successfully interface with all organizational levels, departments and shifts
- Good understanding and positive support of standard personnel and administrative policies, practices and legal requirements pertaining to business operations
- Demonstrated ability to build trust and credibility, provide ongoing coaching and feedback, manage through conflict, and strive for continuous improvement
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes and systems and engineering processes.
- Willingness and availability to work weekends as needed.
