Operations Engineer
Overview
Aircraft Technology, Inc., (ATI), a subsidiary of HEICO Corporation, is an FAA/EASA Part 145 Repair Station. ATI supports a wide range of rotary and fixed wing components found on both commercial and military platforms around the world.
The Stock and Tool Room Clerk is responsible for the maintenance of the stockroom and oversees the entire tool room and its functions, receiving, storing, and issuing material and tools to production teams.
Responsibilities- Pick and receive incoming shipments from the central Shipping/Receiving Area, verify their contents, and inspect for damages or discrepancies.
- Organize merchandise in the stockroom, ensuring proper labeling and categorization.
- Maintain documents related to parts.
- Maintain a clean and orderly stockroom to facilitate easy access.
- Restock shelves and display areas with merchandise as needed.
- Monitor inventory levels to ensure products are readily available for customers.
- Report any discrepancies and assist in reconciling inventory records.
- Pull parts from inventory for work orders.
- Package and label merchandise for outgoing shipments accurately, following company guidelines.
- Pick up and drop parts to local vendors when needed.
- Work closely with sales associates, managers, and other stockroom personnel to ensure smooth operations and timely merchandise retrieval.
- Issue tools and equipment to workers and maintain records of tools and equipment issued and returned.
- Mark and identify tools and equipment.
- Coordinate outside service.
- Operate forklift.
- Assist in creating Fed Ex, YRC, and other shipping documents.
- Assist Shipping Department when needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Education
:
High School Diploma or GED Equivalent required.
Experience
:
At least 3 years of relevant experience and/or training.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
:
Forklift operator certification preferred but not required.
Knowledge, Skills or Abilities
:
- Language:
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Ability to communicate orally and in writing. - Computer
Skills:
Proficient working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint). - Mathematical
Skills:
Ability to use basic shop math, compute rates, ratios, and percentages, and interpret bar graphs. - Reasoning Abilities:
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed instructions and handle problems with concrete variables in standardized situations. - Problem Solving Abilities:
Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals, requiring a degree of creativity and latitude. - Organizational

Skills:
Understanding of FAA regulations, familiarity with field concepts and procedures, ability to use equipment and tools properly and safely. - Availability:
Able to work overtime and some weekends at end of month.
Regularly required to stand, walk, bend, squat, use hands, reach with arms, and talk or hear. Occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required: close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
