Job Description
Install accessories on new vehicles.
Essential Functions- Perform quality installations of automotive accessories on OEM manufacturer vehicles.
- Install accessories including roof rack systems, trailer hitches, wireless charge pads, front and rear park assists, interior illumination kits, exterior body kits, illuminated scuff plates, frameless mirror links, upgraded fog light systems, body decals, rear bumper guards, spoilers and any new accessories put into production.
- Remove wrap guard and interior plastics.
- Use hand and air tools to install small and large accessories.
- Complete Pre-Delivery Inspections for the OEM Manufacturers rental fleet as well as campaign initiatives that require parts replacement or reflash of ECU software.
- Meet the time requirements of each accessory installation per OEM manufacturer guidelines.
- Adhere to the OEM manufacturers Quality Control guidelines.
- Ability to drive cars, trucks, forklifts and moving equipment.
- Ability to understand and follow directions.
- Ability to multi-task.
- Possess general working knowledge of tools.
- Ability to read and follow diagrams.
- Ability to drive different models of vehicles with auto and manual transmission.
This position has no direct reports.
Work EnvironmentWell‑lit, heated and/or air‑conditioned indoor office, production setting, outdoor/indoor shop environment or enclosed vehicle with adequate ventilation and protection from extreme weather conditions.
Physical DemandsStand, walk, bend, twist; use hands to finger, reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; talk or hear. Must lift or move office products and supplies, up to 50 pounds occasionally (frequently it will be around 25 lbs). Position requires bending, lifting, standing, and sitting throughout the day. Applicants must be flexible and able to work overtime when necessary. Applicants must be able to speak, read, and follow directions in English.
PositionType / Expected Hours of Work
Full‑time. Days and hours of work are primarily 8 hours each day, Monday through Friday on a day shift. Position often requires overtime.
TravelMinimal overnight travel (up to 10%) by land and/or air.
Required Education And ExperienceNo prior experience or training.
Minimum Education And ExperienceBasic personal computer skills.
Preferred Education And ExperienceHigh school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Computer OperationsBasic personal computer skills including electronic mail, word processing, spreadsheet, graphics, etc.
Work Authorization / Security ClearanceMust be able to obtain TWIC badge (Transportation Working Identification Card). Must have a valid Driver’s License.
