The Team Lead is responsible for production and supervising employees within the department.
Duties and responsibilities- Managing and providing direction for a team.
- Monitoring productivity and motivating individuals to meet goals.
- Must have knowledge of all processes for parts produced within the department.
- Accountable for all labor efficiency and department goals.
- Must ensure all team members are properly trained before being put in production on their own.
- Must be willing to perform activities of workers supervised.
- Keep the area, tools, and equipment clean and organized.
- Maintain and properly care for all molds/tools/equipment.
- Turn in daily production reports in a timely manner.
- Sustain high levels of product quality, with a target of zero quality defects or complaints.
- Keep the entire department in compliance with safety and environmental policies.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Previous equipment repair and supervisory experience in a manufacturing setting.
- Ability to move up to 50 lbs.
- Must be dependable and reliable, good attendance is important.
- Display a positive and proactive attitude, strong organizational skills, and have the ability to prioritize.
- Must be able to lead by example, such as excellent attendance, leadership abilities, willingness to learn, and be a team player at all times.
- The worker is subject to noise:
There is sufficient noise to cause the worker to shout in order to be heard above the ambient noise level. - The worker is subject to hazards:
Includes a variety of physical conditions, such as proximity to moving mechanical parts, moving vehicles, electrical current, working on scaffolding and high places, exposure to high heat or exposure to chemicals. - The worker is subject to atmospheric conditions:
One or more of the following conditions that affect the respiratory system of the skin:
Fumes, odors, dusts, mists, gases or poor ventilation.
- Heavy work:
Exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects. - The worker is required to have visual acuity to perform an activity such as operating machines
- The worker is required to have visual acuity to operate motor vehicles or heavy equipment.
- Spend time bending, twisting the body, climbing ladders or scaffolds, keeping balance, kneeling or crouching, making repetitive motions, standing, using hands, walking and running.
- Communicating with others face-to-face or over the telephone
- Environmental conditions could include working in cramped work spaced or awkward
- May be exposed to contaminants, bright or inadequate lighting, very hot or cold temperatures.
