** JOB PURPOSE
** The Sewing Machine Operator I is responsible for operating sewing machines to perform basic garment sewing operations. This role ensures efficient and precise sewing of various fabric and textile materials, contributing to the production of high-quality products.
** STRUCTURE
* * The Entry-Level Sewing Machine Operator reports to the Production Supervisor or Manufacturing Manager and collaborates with Quality Control Inspectors and Production Planners. They may receive guidance from more experienced operators.
** RESPONSIBILITY
* ** Operating sewing machines to perform basic garment sewing operations efficiently and accurately.
* Conducting basic maintenance and troubleshooting of sewing machines to ensure optimal functionality.
* Collaborating with team members to meet production targets and quality standards.
* Following safety protocols and maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
* Assisting in training new sewing machine operators or apprentices as needed.## Qualifications REQUIREMENTS
* High school diploma or equivalent qualification preferred.
* Basic experience or training in sewing machine operation.
* Familiarity with different fabric/textile materials is a plus.
* An acceptable combination of education, training, and/or experience will be considered.
