We are actively seeking a CNC Machinist to join our team of talented people to help continue our tradition of innovation and market leadership. This position works out of our facility in Jacksonville, FL. This is a full-time, second-shift position working Monday through Thursday from 1430 to 0100. Come and grow with us!
How You Will Make a Positive Impact:
- Set up and operate manual and CNC lathes and mills.
- Work from CNC setup sheets, specifications, travelers, blueprints, and written or verbal instructions.
- Perform machining operations in accordance with job requirements, quality standards, and safety procedures.
- Use Mazak, Fanuc, and Haas controls to support machining operations.
- Use micrometers, calipers, indicators, and other precision measuring tools to verify parts meet specifications.
- Inspect work for accuracy, quality, and conformance to drawings and specifications.
- Maintain tooling, machines, and work area in a clean, organized, and safe condition.
- Support 6S and Kaizen programs and events as needed.
- Perform other related duties as required and assigned.
The Value You Bring:
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience with both manual and CNC lathes and mills required.
- Knowledge of Mazak, Fanuc, and Haas controls required.
- Ability to use micrometers, calipers, indicators, and other precision measuring devices required.
- Must be able to read CNC setup sheets, specifications, travelers, blueprints, and written or verbal instructions.
- Prior experience reading prints, blueprints, specifications, travelers, and CNC setup sheets preferred.
- Prior quality inspection experience preferred.
- Prior experience with hand tools, lifting devices, and safe shop practices preferred.
- Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail, quality workmanship, and safe work practices.
- Experience communicating via email and using Microsoft Word and Excel preferred.
- Reliable with a good work ethic.
