We are currently hiring a Door Builder / Manufacturing Associate for our Jacksonville, Florida manufacturing facility.

This is a hands‑on manufacturing position responsible for fabricating, assembling, glazing, inspecting, and preparing custom shower door products for shipment. The ideal candidate is dependable, detail‑oriented, comfortable using hand and power tools, and able to work effectively in a fast‑paced production environment.

Position Summary

The Door Builder manufactures custom shower door systems according to work orders, measurements, technical drawings, production specifications, and quality requirements.

This position performs aluminum fabrication, product assembly, hardware installation, quality inspection, packaging, and material‑handling activities. Employees must also be willing to cross‑train and support other production, warehouse, shipping, receiving, glazing, and packaging areas based on business and staffing needs.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Fabricate, cut, drill, punch, and assemble aluminum shower door components according to work orders and production specifications.
  • Build complete shower door assemblies by installing vinyl, magnets, handles, rollers, hardware, and other required components.
  • Read and interpret work orders, tape measurements, technical drawings, and basic production specifications.
  • Inspect raw materials and completed products for dimensional accuracy, defects, damage, workmanship, and overall quality.
  • Package finished shower door products with protective materials to prevent damage during storage and transportation.
  • Safely operate hand tools, power tools, and production equipment, including:
  • Tape measures
  • Chop saws
  • Drill presses
  • Band saws
  • Table saws
  • Shop presses
  • Pneumatic tools
  • Maintain production efficiency while meeting established quality and productivity goals.
  • Stage materials, move finished products, and prepare completed orders for shipment.
  • Safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks, hand trucks, rolling carts, and other authorized material‑handling equipment.
  • Support inventory accuracy through proper material handling, stocking, and product movement.
  • Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas while following housekeeping and PPE requirements.
  • Report equipment problems, material concerns, production delays, quality issues, and safety hazards to supervisors.
  • Cross‑train and assist in fabrication, assembly, glazing, packaging, warehouse, shipping, receiving, and other production departments.
  • Work collaboratively with supervisors and team members to meet customer and production requirements.
  • Perform additional duties based on operational needs.

Minimum Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • At least one year of manufacturing, fabrication, assembly, or related production experience preferred.
  • Experience assembling or fabricating aluminum, glass, shower doors, windows, or similar products is preferred.
  • Ability to read a tape measure accurately.
  • Ability to interpret basic technical drawings, work orders, and production specifications.
  • Basic math skills, including addition, subtraction, fractions, and decimals.
  • Experience safely using hand tools, power tools, and manufacturing equipment.
  • Forklift certification is preferred, or willingness and ability to obtain certification.
  • Basic computer skills, including scanners, Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality products.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a manufacturing team.
  • Willingness to learn new processes and work in multiple production areas.

Physical Requirements and Work Environment

  • Ability to stand and perform repetitive manufacturing tasks for 8–10 hours per shift or longer.
