The Manufacturing Engineer III (Senior) position exists to lead and oversee the formulation, implementation, and management of manufacturing systems within the production team in Jacksonville, FL, with a broader impact extending to Mustang Survival and sister company Patten. The primary objective is to ensure the delivery of high-quality products to the market. The Senior Manufacturing Engineer is tasked with implementing Lean manufacturing processes to enhance efficiency, flexibility, and quality throughout the manufacturing operations.
STRUCTUREThe Manufacturing Engineer (Senior) reports to Manufacturing Engineering Lead.
RESPONSIBILITY- Collaborate with project teams to launch new military and professional life saving products.
- Support and Drive LEAN manufacturing and 5S Initiatives. Incorporate Six Sigma methodologies to enhance process improvement efforts.
- Drive initiation for continuous improvement projects to increase production capacity and quality. Conduct data analysis and utilize performance metrics tracking to measure the impact of improvement projects.
- Support issue management and problem-solving using root cause analysis techniques and corrective action implementation to address recurring problems effectively.
- Work in a highly cross-functional team environment involving manufacturing and product development, production, quality, supply chain, marketing, sale, and finance team.
- Develops work instructions, drawings, tests, modifications, assembly processes, fixtures, processes or specialized manufacturing, test equipment for existing or new products and ensure production readiness.
- Prepare and maintain manufacturing documentation such as BOL, tooling and work instruction
