Position Summary
Zawyer Sports is seeking a Director of Marketing to lead and execute integrated marketing strategies across all Zawyer Sports entities and clients. This role will oversee brand, digital, creative, analytics, and campaign execution while managing a growing internal marketing team and external vendors. The Director of Marketing will serve as the central point of accountability for marketing strategy, execution, and performance, ensuring alignment across teams, properties, and business objectives.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Marketing Strategy & Campaign Execution
- Develop and execute integrated marketing plans supporting brand growth, fan engagement, and revenue goals across all Zawyer Sports entities and client properties.
- Own the marketing calendars, campaign planning, and prioritization across multiple teams and markets.
- Oversee paid media strategy, including managing relationships with radio, TV, print, and OOH partners.
- Translate organizational and client goals into clear marketing strategies, deliverables, and KPIs.
- Assist in leading and managing the marketing department
- Establish workflows, briefing processes, timelines, and performance standards to ensure efficient execution.
- Balance strategic planning with hands-on oversight of day-to-day marketing operations.
- Ensure consistent brand voice, messaging, and visual identity across all channels and properties.
- Oversee creative development for digital content, promotions, campaigns, and experiential initiatives.
- Maintain brand standards while supporting unique needs of individual teams, venues, and clients.
- Guide digital strategy across owned and paid channels, including social media, email, web, CRM, and paid media.
- Partner with analytics resources to measure performance, audience growth, and ROI.
- Use data and insights to optimize campaigns and improve results across entities and clients.
- Partner closely with ticketing, sales, partnerships, and operations teams to support revenue-driven initiatives.
- Support sponsorship and partnership activations through integrated marketing campaigns.
- Serve as the marketing lead for external client partners.
- Manage marketing budgets, media partners, and vendors.
- Evaluate opportunities to maximize ROI across advertising, promotions, and partnerships.
- Report on campaign performance, insights, and recommendations to senior leadership.
Required
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or related field.
- 5-8+ years of progressive marketing experience, preferably in sports, entertainment, or consumer-facing industries.
- Proven experience leading integrated, multi-channel marketing campaigns.
- Demonstrated success managing teams, creative workflows, and multiple priorities.
- Strong organizational, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Data-driven mindset with experience using analytics to inform decisions.
- Strong understanding of digital marketing channels, platforms, and technologies, including paid media (Google Ads and social), email and SMS marketing, CRM systems, website management, and analytics tools used to measure performance and ROI.
- Ability to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and games/events as needed.
- Excellent grammar, spelling, proofreading, and writing abilities
- Independent, creative problem-solver
- A team player with excellent interpersonal skills and a strong customer service orientation
- Familiarity with the latest trends, technologies and methodologies in graphic design, web design, production, etc.
- Experience supporting multiple brands, properties, or clients simultaneously.
- Passion for sports, entertainment, and fan-focused marketing.
- Knowledge of hockey, basketball, and baseball a plus.
- Knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud and photography a plus.
- Knowledge of Public Relations a plus.
