Director of Development

We are V for Victory, an "A" rated, proven and purpose-driven Jacksonville, Florida-based nonprofit committed to supporting those in our community battling cancer. We are about continuously building strong local partnerships to help provide essential daily support to our warriors in the fight for their lives. We’re seeking a dynamic and driven non-profit Development Director who thrives on building relationships, executing growth strategies, and telling our story in a way that moves hearts and opens doors, creating lasting community impact.

• Identify, cultivate, and manage relationships with community partners, sponsors, grant opportunities, and donors to drive mission-aligned revenue.
• Represent V for Victory, create, promote and attend community events, meetings, and outreach opportunities—being our ambassador in the field.
• Collaborate with internal teams to align development efforts with organizational goals.
• Maintain and manage CRM and databases with precision and consistency.
• Analyze and report on development metrics using Excel and other tools; share insights with internal and external stakeholders.
• Create and execute development strategy through all channels including prospects, sponsors, B2B outreach, referrals, grants, and partners especially within the nonprofit sector.
• Confidence with database management, CRM systems, and nonprofit or project management platforms (experience with  and Excel strongly preferred).
• Grant experience; writing and winning grants, and clear, organized written & verbal reporting skills.
• High emotional intelligence and the ability to build trust and rapport across diverse groups.
• Passion for making a difference and the flexibility to work nights, weekends, and travel as needed.

This is a hybrid position that blends on-the-ground engagement with remote administrative work. You’ll often be out in our community, meeting prospects, sponsors and partners, attending events, and strengthening networks that help us grow.
