Job Summary
- Position:
Travel Contract - Hours: 34.5 per week
- Assignment: 36 week assignment
- Stipend: yes
Responsibilities
- Assess patients' health conditions and document medical histories.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
- Perform basic life support procedures and emergency interventions when necessary.
- Utilize aseptic techniques during procedures to prevent infections.
- Provide health coaching and education to patients and their families regarding health management and lifestyle changes.
- Assist with patient care tasks such as catheterization, lifting, and toddler care when applicable.
- Monitor patient progress and report any changes in condition to the healthcare team.
- Maintain accurate records of patient care activities and ensure compliance with healthcare regulations.
Position Requirements
Qualifications
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) or (LPN) license in the state of NJ or compact license.
- Must have BLS/ACLS card (No online courses- AHA only) as well as ACLS and any other certifications needed based on the specialty unit assigned.
- Strong knowledge of aseptic techniques and infection control practices.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment while also demonstrating independent decision-making skills.
- Compassionate demeanor with a strong focus on patient-centered care.
