Registered Nurse | Operating Room | FT 6:45am - 3:15pm
Join UF Health as a Registered Nurse in the Operating Room.
OverviewThe Perioperative Registered Nurse (RN) provides nursing care to surgical patients using the nursing process and professional standards. The RN performs all staff nurse activities and may serve as charge nurse when assigned. The RN is responsible for overall accountability for assigned patients, with some tasks delegated to Surgical Technologists, Patient Care Associates, Guest Associates, and Anesthesia Technologists.
Qualifications- Associates' degree; graduate of an accredited nursing school. BSN preferred within three years of hire.
- Florida nursing license.
- BLS certification from the American Heart Association; ACLS and PALS not required after March 19, 2024.
- Minimum 1 year critical care (ICU/ED) experience for PACU nurses; 1-2 years OR experience for perioperative nurses.
- Skills include teamwork, adaptability, compliance with hospital and Florida Nurse Practice Act, and familiarity with medical/surgical equipment.
