Job Summary
Baptist Health in Jacksonville, FL is hiring Registered Nurses for our ICU Flex/Float Team!
This is a PRN position requiring a commitment of one shift per week. Openings are for nights (12‑hour shifts) and are self‑scheduled. The role requires ICU experience and may include float to PCU as needed. Nurses should be able to float between the Downtown campus and one other campus.
Responsibilities- Provide care to patients requiring treatment of any medical, surgical, or other condition
- Embrace and uphold the hospital mission statement
- Educate patients and families about their disease process and plan of care
- Interact with physicians and other departments within the hospital
- Coordinate care provided by ancillary services
- Act as the patient advocate
- Participate in staff meetings and other unit activities
This position is designated as requiring a Level II Background (a detailed fingerprint‑based screening for positions of trust that checks state (FDLE) and national (FBI) criminal history) and will undergo screening as a condition of employment and continued employment. Education RequiredBachelor's Degree - Nursing
Education PreferredMaster's Degree - Nursing
Experience- 2 years Intensive Care Unit (ICU) experience required
- Basic Life Support (BLS) required
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) required
- NIH Stroke Scale Certification preferred
- Licensed Registered Nurse required
