We're looking for Dialysis RNs for an immediate travel nurse opening in Jacksonville, FL. The right RN should have 1-2 years recent acute care experience.
Responsibilities- Prime dialyzer and bloodlines.
- Record patients' medical information and vital signs.
- Prepare dialysis equipment.
- Oversee dialysis treatment.
- Cannulate accesses.
- Clean and dress permanent and temporary catheters.
- Identify irregular dialysis reactions and notify appropriate medical team members.
- Teach patient and significant others how to manage illness.
Dialysis Travel Nurses should be able to stand and walk for long periods, bend, lean and stoop without difficulty. They should be able to lift 20 pounds easily and may need to lift up to 50 pounds when moving patients. They must possess good stress coping skills and be able to relate to people of all ages and backgrounds.
Requirements- BLS certification
- 2 years experience
- Additional certifications may be required before beginning an assignment.
Pay package is based on 12-hour shifts and 36 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
