Overview
Baptist MD Anderson Cancer Center is actively seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our cancer medicine faculty in Jacksonville, FL. The center provides highly coordinated cancer care from screening to diagnosis to treatment to survivorship and is part of Baptist Health, a not-for-profit health system with multiple locations and centers of excellence.
Job Summary
We seek an Advanced Practice Provider (APP) in our Hematology/Medical Oncology program. The department focuses on the oncologic care of all cancers. This position primarily supports malignant and benign hematology providers and patients, with some cross-coverage to solid tumor. The APP will collaborate with attending physicians to provide advanced clinical care, working in a team-based environment to support outpatient ambulatory clinic care for patients undergoing active chemotherapy as well as short-term and long-term surveillance.
Responsibilities include data collection and documentation, ordering diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, scheduling laboratory studies and consultations, and providing direct patient care. The APP will join a growing team of Hematology/Oncology physicians and APPs that pride themselves on equitable collaboration.
- Patient population:
Malignant and benign hematology (primary); general medical oncology (secondary). - Outpatient Care: evaluates new and existing patients in collaboration with staff physicians and a multidisciplinary team; completes outpatient documentation in a timely fashion; performs clinic procedures as applicable.

Monday – Friday - Hours cont.:
Limited shared night and weekend call; home call in rotation with the entire hematology/medical oncology team
