Responsibilities
The Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) in Rheumatology provides high-quality, patient-centered care to individuals with autoimmune and inflammatory disorders in an outpatient setting. This role functions in close collaboration with rheumatologists while also managing a panel of patients daily and independently.
The APP plays a key role in improving access, optimizing chronic disease management, and delivering comprehensive care across the patient journey. This role is currently practicing in the outpatient setting only.
QualificationsDue to the complexity of our patient population, a minimum of two to three years of NP/PA experience is required. No new graduates will be considered at this time.
Nurse Practitioner: Masters-prepared graduate of an accredited school of nursing and Nurse Practitioner program. Current FL RN and APRN license and certification as a FNP, ANP, ACNP.
Physician Assistant: Graduate of accredited Physician Assistant program with current PA certification by NCCPA and registration as a PA by the FL State Board of Medical Practice.
Additional Qualifications: Active BLS certification from American Heart Association or American Red Cross at start date and DEA registration required.

Schedule Details8:00am - 5:00pm, Monday-Friday in outpatient clinic. No weekend or hospital call in current position, however, could always be a possibility in the future as role evolves.
