Unit Highlights:- Ready to join our OB family? Advent Health Altamonte Labor and Delivery Unit is a premier destination for obstetrical care in Seminole County. We are the only Advent Health OB hospital in Seminole County and only hospital system with the support of a Level II NICU.
- The Labor and Delivery Unit provides Level II Maternity Care for approximately 2,000+ births per year (150 babies per month). The unit consists of 6 OB Triage rooms, 10 labor rooms (including 1 Low Intervention Birthing suite), 3 OB ORs and 4 PACU beds. The adjacent units are a 10‑bed Level II NICU (30 weeks and above) and a 21‑bed newly renovated Mother Baby Unit.
- AWHONN staffing ratios maintained in Labor and Delivery, MIU and NICU.
- The multidisciplinary team is supported by Neonatologists, Neonatal Nurse Practitioners, OB Hospitalists, OB Hospitalist Midwives, Anesthesia, and Respiratory Therapy 24/7. Multidisciplinary huddles are conducted at the beginning of the shift with the team.

- Our team can provide both virtual and in person classes and tours with our patients and individualized care with our Birth Experience team.
- Advent Health for Women is a key part of the Florida Perinatal Quality Collaboratives such as PROVIDE initiative (reducing primary c-sections), MORE (reducing maternal opioids) and PROMPT (addressing hypertension in our obstetrical population).

Full-time, Three (3) 12-hour shifts
Shift:Nights, 7:00 pm - 7:00 am (with weekend rotation)
PrimaryJob Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate the physiological, psychological, developmental, sociocultural, spiritual, and lifestyle factors of patients.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans based on patient needs and standards of care, regularly evaluating and revising these plans as necessary.
- Administer medications and treatments accurately and safely, following physician orders and hospital protocols, and monitor for adverse reactions.
- Educate patients and families about health conditions, treatments, medications, and self-care strategies to promote understanding and compliance.
- Ensure compliance with infection control protocols, safety standards, and regulatory requirements to maintain a safe healthcare environment.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Associate of Science degree in Nursing
- Current State of Florida or Multistate Licensure as a Registered Nurse
- One (1) year Registered Nurse experience in Labor and Delivery
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification
- Current Neonatal Resuscitation (NRP) certification
Preferred Qualifications:
- Acute/Critical Care Clinical Nurse Specialist (CCNS)
- Neonatal Med Certification (NEONATAL MED)
- Pediatric ER Assess, Recog & Stabilization (PEARS)
Physical Requirements -
Pay Range:$31.53 - $52.24
