Family Nurse Practitioner – Primary Care Float Pay Rate: $74.87/hour

Float position covering outpatient clinic locations in Gainesville, FL and Macclenny, FL . Candidate must be willing to travel between sites as needed. Schedule &
Hours:
Approximately 30–38 hours per week 2–3 weekday shifts per week Weekend rotation required (Saturday and Sunday shifts) Possible holiday coverage required Clinic hours:
Monday–Friday: 8:30 AM – 7:30 PM (1-hour lunch) Saturday: 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM Sunday: 9:00 AM – 4:30 PM (30-minute lunch)
Position Summary:
The Family Nurse Practitioner – Primary Care Float provides evidence-based primary and family care services across multiple outpatient clinic locations. This role is responsible for delivering comprehensive patient care including assessment, diagnosis, treatment, chronic disease management, and health counseling. The provider works collaboratively within a clinical care team to support continuity of care and improve overall patient outcomes. The role also includes routine clinic operations and administrative responsibilities to ensure smooth daily workflow and a positive patient experience.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform comprehensive patient evaluations including assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up care Manage acute and chronic conditions in a primary care/family practice setting Conduct routine physical exams and order and interpret diagnostic tests Provide patient education on preventive care, wellness, and lifestyle management Support chronic disease management and health screening initiatives Collaborate with clinical care team members to coordinate patient care plans Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient encounters Perform clinic operational duties including opening and closing procedures as needed Assist with administrative functions such as inventory management, insurance verification, and patient follow-up Maintain a clean, organized, and patient-ready clinical environment Support patient engagement and encourage active participation in care decisions
Required Qualifications:
Active Nurse Practitioner license in the state of Florida (or eligibility to obtain prior to start) Master’s Degree from an accredited Family Nurse Practitioner program Current National Board Certification as a Nurse Practitioner Minimum 1 year of recent experience in primary care, family medicine, or urgent care as a Nurse Practitioner Strong understanding of chronic disease management and quality metrics in primary care Ability to practice independently with minimal supervision in a collaborative care environment Strong verbal, written, and electronic communication skills Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively Proficiency with electronic medical records and healthcare technology systems Flexible, adaptable, and comfortable working across multiple clinic sites Ideal Candidate Traits:
