The Department of Cardiovascular Diseases at Mayo Clinic’s campus in Jacksonville, Florida, seeks a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to support the Division of Circulatory Failure. The Advanced Practice Provider will work closely with a multidisciplinary team managing a broad spectrum of patients for conditions such as heart failure, amyloidosis, sarcoidosis, hypertrophic cardiomyopathy, and related disorders with some comprehensive cardiology coverage.
- Obtain patient history.
- Perform physical examinations.
- Order and perform diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.
- Formulate diagnostic impressions.
- Develop and implement treatment plans.
- Monitor the effectiveness of therapeutic interventions.
- Offer counseling and education to meet patient needs.
- Make appropriate referrals.
- Prescribe and dispense prescription medication.
- Assist in surgery.
- Perform minor procedures and surgical procedures.
- Demonstrate ability to assess data reflective of patient status and appropriately interpret information relative to age‑specific needs.
New graduates who have prior experience in cardiology in another role are welcome to apply!
Nurse Practitioner: Masters‑prepared graduate of an accredited nursing school and Nurse Practitioner program. Current FL RN and APRN license and certification as a FNP, ANP, or ACNP.
Physician Assistant: Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program with current PA certification by NCCPA and registration as a PA by the FL State Board of Medical Practice.
Additional Qualifications: Active BLS and ACLS certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross at start date and DEA registration required.

Compensation Detail: Education, experience, and tenure may be considered in addition to internal equity when job offers are extended.

Schedule Details: Monday‑Friday. No weekends, holidays, nights, or call.
