We are seeking Part Time Licensed Practical Nurses (LPN) to work in our Skilled Nursing Facility. A Nurse will provide direct nursing care to residents in our Health Center and supervise day-to-day nursing activities performed by nursing assistants in accordance with state and federal standards. Earn up to $32/hour.

• Assist in planning resident care by following physician orders
• Implement resident care based on physician orders
• Evaluate care and communicate with doctors for updates of orders
• Administer medication, IVs, give shots, update patient records, provide emotional support, patient education, basic diagnostics, and other patient procedures for residents
• Receive and transcribe orders from attending physicians
• Monitor blood glucose, temperature, and blood pressure when necessary
• Respond to all emergencies
• Schedule doctor's appointments, coordinate transportation, schedule labs, and transcribe lab results
• Supervise CNAs as Charge Nurse ensuring they provide resident care based on physician orders and defined care plans
• Comply with all applicable rules, policies, standards, and guidelines related to employment with Westminster Services and its communities
• Implement resident care based on physician orders. Evaluate care and communicate with doctors for updates of orders (PRN). Complete admission documentation in ECS
• Assist with evaluation of residents for medical needs/changes; planning resident care based on physician orders; entering physician orders into ECS
• Ensure residents receive medication based on doctor's orders and complete medication pass
• Maintain the medication cart including audit procedures for PRN medication and controlled medicines as defined by the nursing standards
• Perform skin evaluations and skin treatment as required by skin treatment protocols; monitor blood glucose, temperature, and blood pressure
• Assist patients/residents with Activities of Daily Living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, eating, transferring, ambulating, toileting, and other resident needs

• Must currently be licensed in the State of Florida as a Licensed Practical Nurse
• Must be CPR Certified
• One year of long term care desirable;
  Med-Surg, Home Health experience helpful; experience working with the elderly, handicapped or developmentally disabled adults preferred. Will train on-the-job in lieu of above experience
