Position

Baptist Health is hiring a Registered Nurse to join our Pediatric Emergency Department team at Wolfson Children’s Hospital in Jacksonville, FL. This is a PRN Variable shift opportunity.

Responsibilities
  • Provide emergency care to pediatric patients
  • Administer medications per policy
  • Educate families on diagnosis and treatment plans
  • Collaborate with pediatric specialists and care teams
  • Coordinate care with ancillary services
  • Serve as a patient and family advocate
Experience
  • 3–5 years Clinical Experience (required)
  • 1 year Emergency Nursing Experience (required)
Education & Credentials
  • Associate of Science in Nursing (required)
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (preferred)
  • Licensed Registered Nurse (required)
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) (required)
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) (required)
  • TNCC, NRP, ENPC (required)
Responsibilities (continued)

Provides for patient needs as recognized through the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation) and the mission statement; organization and supervision of care provided by supportive personnel; coordination of care provided by ancillary services. Includes patients and significant others (SO)/families in developing an individualized plan of care. Education of patients/SO/families to their disease process and plan of care. Serves as patient advocate and is responsible for providing care to patients requiring treatment of any medical, surgical, or other condition, including chronic medical and minor injuries or illnesses.
