Overview

Hospice of Florida is currently seeking a Full‑Time On‑Call Registered Nurse (RN) to provide exceptional care and support to hospice patients and families during their most critical moments. As an On‑Call RN, you will identify patient and family needs, coordinate care, and offer preventative measures and compassionate support.

Friday 4:30 pm – Monday 8:00 am

Duval, Nassau, St. Johns, Clay, and Baker

• Respond to a variety of patient needs, from urgent to routine, ensuring unwavering support in critical moments.
• Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients’ physical, emotional, social, and spiritual needs.
• Maintain accurate documentation in line with agency and regulatory standards.
• Provide support for families, sharing knowledge and guiding them in caring for their terminally ill loved ones.

• Bachelor’s degree in nursing or health care preferred.
• Current unencumbered RN license.
• Minimum one year of RN experience in a medical/surgical/acute care setting (hospice experience is a plus).
• Computer proficiency in typing and various programs, including EMR.
• Current CPR certification, if required by state.
• Background screening through the Florida Care Provider Background Screening Clearinghouse.

$84,000 – $99,000 per year (average pay). Compensation will be determined based on relevant experience and the specific responsibilities, and confirmed at the conclusion of the interview process.
