Responsibilities
- Provide patient care using the nursing process: assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation.
- Organize and supervise care provided by supportive personnel.
- Coordinate care provided by ancillary services.
- Include patients and significant others/families in developing individualized plans of care.
- Educate patients, significant others, and families about their disease process and care plan.
- Serve as patient advocate and provide care to patients with any medical, surgical, or other condition, including chronic medical conditions and minor injuries or illnesses.
- ACLS certification required within 6 months for Adult EDs and Free Standing EDs.
- PALS certification required within 1 year of hire for Free Standing EDs and within 6 months for WCH ED.
