Overview
A 238-bed acute care hospital in Panama City, FL is seeking a Director of Cardiac Care. The facility is the area's only Accredited Chest Pain Center with Primary PCI and Resuscitation, holds Advanced Primary Stroke Care certification, and offers a full range of cardiac, vascular, and interventional services.
ResponsibilitiesReporting to the CNO, the Director of Cardiac Care leads a 24-bed unit with an average daily volume of 18 patients and oversees a team of 27 FTEs. This leader is responsible for building and sustaining a seamless continuum of care across the department — collaborating closely with physicians and interdisciplinary team members to optimize patient and family outcomes, including coordination of care conferences for high-risk and medically complex patients.
The Director evaluates and recommends new technologies and services, develops comprehensive education programs for both staff and patients, and leads IRB research projects. Additional responsibilities include directing short- and long-range program planning, ensuring operational efficiency, and managing all aspects of staff performance, selection, and development.
- Bachelor's degree
- (APRN) Advanced Practice Registered Nurse, or (RN) Registered Nurse
- 5+ years of recent (within the last year) acute care RN leadership experience
- Basic Cardiac Life Support, or BCLS Instructor must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
Full-time, day shift.
