Baptist Health is hiring a Registered Nurse to join our Pre-Op/Post-Op team at Baptist Orthopedics – Reid Building in Jacksonville, FL. This is a PRN day shift opportunity.
This specialized orthopedic OR focuses on elective procedures including sports medicine, foot, ankle, and hand surgeries. This role is ideal for an OR nurse seeking a predictable schedule with no call, nights, or weekends.

Job Responsibilities:
Provide perioperative nursing care using the nursing process
Coordinate care with surgical and ancillary teams
Prepare operating room and surgical cases
Anticipate patient and procedural needs
Educate patients and families on care plans
Maintain accurate documentation and patient safety
Registered Nurse
Experience:
2–3 years Surgical Services Experience (required)
Registered Nurse Education & Credential Requirements:
Associate of Science in Nursing (required)
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (preferred)
Licensed Registered Nurse (required)
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) (required)

Provides for patient needs as recognized through use of the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation) and the mission statement; organization and supervision of care provided by supportive personnel; coordination of care provided by ancillary services
Including patients and significant others (SO)/families in developing an individualized plan of care Education of patients/SO/families to their disease process and plan of care Serves as patient advocate and responsible for providing care to patients requiring treatment of any medical, surgical, or other condition, including chronic medical and minor injuries or illnesses.
Certification- ACLS required within 6 months for the Adult EDs and Free Standing EDsPALS required within 1 year of hire for the Free Standing EDs and required within 6 months for WCH ED.Primary
