Job Summary
As a Critical Care Registered Nurse (RN), your voice to influence patient care is valued and empowered at every turn –whether through open, collaborative relationships with your direct manager or more formal opportunities through hospital councils and national nursing initiatives. Responsibilities- Understand patients with critical illness and vent management. Respond to Code Blue within the facility and initiate protocol, special procedures and cardiac monitoring.
- Manage efficient flow of patients including screening, preparation for exam, providing general nursing care, and arranging or testing and admissions.
- Instruct patients and families regarding medications and treatment instructions.
- Maintain and review patients’ records including posting tests and examination results.
- Administer medications in accordance with physician orders.
- Check rooms daily for necessary supplies.
- Respond to and refer incoming telephone calls (may include phone triage when needed).
- Hospital sponsored opportunity to obtain the Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) Certification.
- Hospital sponsored opportunity to obtain the CCRN Certification or other relevant Certifications with monetary incentives.
- Clinical ladder supporting educational development and base salary increases.
- Cross training opportunities (e.g., CVICU, ECMO, Leadership).
- Graduated from an accredited school of Nursing:
Associate's Degree in Nursing or higher is required. - Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the state in which you practice and/or hold an active Compact/Multi-State RN license.
- Current American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross Basic Life Support (BLS) Health Care Provider is required.
- Current American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Health Care Provider is required.
- At least 1 year of Acute Care/Hospital Registered Nurse (RN) experience is required.
This is a Full Time, Night Shift position. Shifts are 12 hours in length (approximately 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM). Rotating Weekends and Holidays are required.
