Job Summary
Provides for patient needs through the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation) and the organization’s mission statement. Organizes and supervises supportive personnel and coordinates care with ancillary services.
- Includes patients and significant others/families in developing individualized plans of care.
- Educates patients/families about their disease process and plan of care.
- Serves as patient advocate and provides care to patients requiring treatment of any medical, surgical, or other condition, including chronic medical and minor injuries or illnesses.
- ACLS required within 6 months for Adult EDs and Free Standing EDs; PALS required within 1 year of hire for Free Standing EDs and within 6 months for WCH ED.
AS – Nursing; BS – Nursing
License and Certification- Registered Nurse (RN) – State Nursing Boards
- Driver’s License – DMV
- Basic Life Support (BLS) – required
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) – required within 6 months
- Paediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) – required within 1 year of hire for Free Standing EDs or within 6 months for WCH ED
