Registered Nurse, ICU Critical Care Fulltime Nights, Baptist

Responsibilities

• Provides for patient needs as recognized through use of the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation) and the mission statement; organization; supervision of care provided by supportive personnel and coordination of care provided by ancillary services.
• Includes patients and significant others (SO)/families in developing an individualized plan of care.
• Educates patients/SO/families to their disease process and plan of care.
• Coordinated and preparation of assigned room/case, assessment of patient care needs and the anticipation of needs of the case.
• Requires call coverage.
• Utilize Performance Standards labeled "ORRN" for the ORs and "RN" Performance Standards for the ICU RNs.
• Provide care to patients requiring treatment of any medical, surgical, or other condition.
• Embrace and uphold the hospital mission statement.
• Interact with physicians and other departments within the hospital.
• Coordinate care provided by ancillary services.
• Act as the patient advocate.
• Participate in staff meetings and other unit activities.

Associate of Science in Nursing required. Bachelor of Arts/Science (BA/BS) preferred.

• 1-2 years Cardiac Experience preferred.
• 1-2 years Telemetry Experience.
• Hospital Experience.
• Emergency Department Experience.

• Basic Life Support (BLS) required.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) preferred.
• Certified Critical Care Registered Nurse (CCRN) preferred.
• Registered Registered Nurse (RN) required.
• ACLS & PALS.
• Driver's License - DMVDMV.
• Driver's License - DMV.
