Baptist Health is hiring a Registered Nurse to join our Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) team at Baptist South in Jacksonville, FL. This is a full‑time Weekend Day shift opportunity. Scheduled shift 7:00am-7:00pm. The weekday shift can be flexible. This position does not require call coverage, except for holiday call.
The PACU team provides critical post‑operative care, ensuring safe recovery from anesthesia. This role is ideal for nurses with strong assessment skills and experience in surgical or critical care settings.
Registered Nurse Job Responsibilities- Monitor patients recovering from anesthesia
- Assess and manage pain, nausea, and post‑op complications
- Administer medications as prescribed
- Monitor vital signs and patient status
- Educate patients and families on recovery care
- Coordinate care with surgical and ancillary teams
- 2–3 years Surgical Services Experience (required)
- 2–3 years Critical Care Nursing Experience (required)
- Associate of Science in Nursing (required)
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (preferred)
- Licensed Registered Nurse (required)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) (required)
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) (preferred)
- CCRN or CNOR (preferred)
