Schedule:

Monday - Friday day shift.

Under the direct supervision of the Pre‑Op/PACU manager, the PACU nurse implements all physician orders and provides continuity and quality of nursing care for all patients, continually evaluating their condition to provide safety, comfort, and privacy.

When needed, assists physicians in the procedure rooms with sedation and sterile techniques.

• Provide total comprehensive patient care to patients emerging from general anesthesia and/or sedation.
• Conduct assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation for patient and family in preparation for discharge.

• Registered Nurse with an unrestricted license in the state.
• Graduate of an accredited nursing school.
• At least 1 year of previous PreOP/PACU experience.
• Previous experience in an ambulatory surgical center is strongly preferred.
• Current BLS, ALS, and PALS certifications.
• Strong knowledge of surgical procedures and management of the surgical patient.
• Understanding of aseptic techniques.
• Ability to adapt quickly to changing patient conditions.
• Excellent teamwork and communication skills with staff, patients, and physicians.

• Minimum of 1 year of orthopedic experience.
