Baptist Health is hiring a Registered Nurse to join our Emergency Department team at Baptist Medical Center Jacksonville in Jacksonville, FL. This is a PRN day shift opportunity.
The Emergency Department at Baptist Jacksonville is a high-acuity, fast-paced environment providing advanced emergency care to patients across Northeast Florida. This role is ideal for a nurse who thrives under pressure, values teamwork, and is passionate about delivering exceptional, patient-centered care.
Job Responsibilities- Provide care to patients requiring treatment of medical, surgical, or emergent conditions
- Educate patients and families on diagnosis and plan of care
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams
- Coordinate care provided by ancillary services
- Serve as a patient advocate to ensure safety and satisfaction
- Participate in staff meetings and unit-based initiatives
- Uphold the mission, vision, and values of Baptist Health
- 1–2 years Medical Surgical Nursing Experience (required)
- Telemetry Experience (required)
- Emergency Department Experience (preferred)
- Hospital Experience (required)
- Associate of Science in Nursing (required)
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (preferred)
- Licensed Registered Nurse (required)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) (required)
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) (preferred)
- Diploma Nurses must have 5+ years of progressive care experience.
- Registered Nurse (RN) license from State Nursing Boards.
- Driver's License required.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
